Your Tax Refund Can Equal Savings

Expecting a tax refund this year? Transform it into a contribution toward your ABLEnow account.

If you don’t need the money for essentials, experts say that a tax refund is a great opportunity to make progress on reaching financial goals.

Contribute a Virginia Tax Refund

For your convenience, Virginia taxpayers can direct all or part of a Virginia income tax refund directly into an ABLEnow account. Use Schedule VAC (pdf), available on the Forms page of the Virginia Department of Taxation website to direct a contribution.

Contribute a Tax Refund from Outside Virginia

Are you contributing all or part of your federal refund or a refund from another state? First, deposit the refund to your bank account, then send a contribution to ABLEnow using a check or electronic transfer. If making your contribution with a check by mail, don’t forget to include the completed Contribution Form.
