Good news is ahead for ABLEnow account owners. In late March 2026, ABLEnow will transition recordkeeping services to Ascensus, the nation’s largest independent third-party administrator, recordkeeper and government savings facilitator. This planned update reflects an ongoing commitment to strengthening the program and improving the account owner experience.
The transition will deliver lower fees, a modernized online platform, and continued professional administration. ABLEnow accounts will transition automatically, and no immediate action is required before the change.
What to Know Now
Account owners are encouraged to log in to their current ABLEnow account to confirm their contact information is up to date. It’s also recommended that account owners download and save any historical documents needed for personal records, such as past account statements and tax forms.
Additional details, including key dates and updates to the ABLEnow Program Description, will be shared ahead of the March 2026 transition. Ongoing communications will provide guidance throughout the process.
After the transition is complete, account owners will receive confirmation with instructions to access their account on the new platform.
Program Enhancements
This transition takes place during a milestone year for ABLEnow. Expanded eligibility under the ABLE Age Adjustment Act means more individuals can now open an ABLEnow account, while continued improvements strengthen the program overall. These updates coincide with ABLEnow’s 10th anniversary in December 2026.
ABLEnow values the trust of account owners as the program evolves. Clear communication and customer support will remain priorities throughout the recordkeeper transition.
